Planet, a leader in satellite imagery and Earth data insights, hosted the Planet Explore conference series across 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2023. Each event marked a significant milestone in Planet’s journey, using Explore as a unique platform to connect with global stakeholders, share breakthroughs, and foster community engagement. Sentiform partnered with Planet to create a cohesive brand experience for conferences in 2019, 2020, and 2021, seamlessly blending in-person and digital experiences to amplify Planet’s mission.
Setting the stage for exploration
The 2019 Planet Explore conference set a strong foundation for future events. Sentiform partnered with Planet to create a dynamic visual identity that captured the brand’s innovative spirit and its commitment to empowering informed decision-making through satellite imagery and data. From custom artworks to intuitive wayfinding systems, every detail was carefully designed to transform attendees into active participants, fully engaged in exploring Planet’s mission.
Taking the conference experience digital
The 2020 edition of Planet Explore took a different turn with the shift to a fully digital format due to the global pandemic. Sentiform helped Planet with translating the in-person experience into a dynamic virtual environment. The challenge was maintaining the same engagement and immersion level without the physical presence. Through the innovative use of digital platforms, we crafted an online experience that kept participants connected, inspired, and fully engaged. We have designed Explore 2020’s visual identity to be compelling and highly functional, ensuring the virtual event felt as impactful as its physical predecessor.
Blending physical and digital experiences
By 2021, Planet Explore evolved into a hybrid event, blending the strengths of both in-person and digital formats. Sentiform’s role was to ensure that the brand experience was seamless across all touchpoints, whether attendees were on-site or online. We focused on creating a unified narrative that tied together the learnings and successes of the past two years. Sentiform has refined the visual identity to represent Planet’s growing influence and commitment to innovation. Interactive installations, augmented reality features, and a user-friendly digital platform were integrated to enhance the experience, making it not just a conference but a milestone event for the brand
